Xiaomi Redmi Note 5: Full Specifications and Leaked Details.

Chinese Smartphone Manufacturing Company Mi created many record with their Redmi Series in India. As you are aware of Xiaomi Redmi 4, which is a great success and the record breaking 1 million sales in just 30 days. Not only that, but even Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 got same success like this.

Now, to carry this legacy of Redmi series, Xiaomi is coming with Xiaomi Redmi Note 5. But unfortunately details and specifications got leaked before official announcement. Whatever the case may be, let’s just have a look at leaked details.

xiaomi redmi note 5 leaked details

Display and Dimension

Until now, we only have thickness of the smartphone only in dimensions. So, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be 7.5mm thick. Which means this is going to be a slim body smartphone.

According to leaked informations, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be available with 5.5 inch IPS LCD Capacitive display with Full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. Pixel density of the display will be 401 pixels per inch. This will be lased with MIUI 8.0.

Software and Processor

Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is very likely to be launched with just Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Which is not a good sign. We have Android v7.0 Nougat now in new smartphones and then Android O v8.0, is also on the way. With this many upgrades Xiaomi is still sticked to Marshmallow.

We will know that for sure when they do announce this one officially, but I hope it will be with Android Nougat at least.

As far as processor concerns, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is going to be a mid range smartphone, as its all predecessors were. So, processor on this is also similar to that. We are going to get Snapdragon 660 processor. Which is a mid range smartphone processor. There will be 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5, so it will be good for multitasking.

Camera

This is up most important part in smartphone nowadays. Because most of smartphone consumers, buy their smartphone considering Camera performance. As everyone want to do smartphone photography. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be with 16 MP of primary camera.

Primary camera of Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 comes with an aperture of f/2.0, phase detection autofocus, dual tone dual LED flash light, HDR and Panaroma modes.

It is worth noting that there are no special features mentioned of rear camera here, but this is just leaked details, so it could be there, which will be announced with official announcement of this smartphone. Front camera is also pretty good, it is 13 MP camera.

I hope that this model of Redmi Series, will be with better camera quality this time. Because all of their predecessors were criticised for the camera performance.

Connectivity

Lets start with USB first. Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 supports USB Typc C 1.0 reversible connector, which is a relief considering the upgrades they are placing in their smartphones.

Next thing is Bluetooth, Now, that Bluetooth 5.0 is also released, you must be expecting Bluetooth v5.0, but don’t get your hopes high, because Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will be with Bluetooth v4.2.

WLAN connectivity, Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 is lased with 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct and hotspot. No, ac or ad here. There is quick charge 3.0 support for fast battery charging.
