Many of us here want to create our own website and we are familiar with php language. But problem is if we try to create full custom website from top to bottom, it takes lots of time and it make coding difficult too.




That’s where CMS comes in picture. Lets have a look at what is cms first.

What is CMS?

full form of CMS is content management system. A Content Management System is a application or a set of related programs that are used to create and manage digital content.

CMSes are mostly used for Enterprise Content Management and Web Content management.

An ECM facilitates collaboration in the workplace by integrating document management, digital asset management and records retention functionalities, and providing end users with role-based access to the organization’s digital assets.

A WCM facilitates collaborative authoring for websites. ECM software often includes a WCM publishing functionality, but ECM webpages typically remain behind the organization’s firewall.

Both enterprise content management and web content management systems have two components: a content management application (CMA) and a content delivery application (CDA).

The CMA is a graphical user interface (GUI) that allows the user to control the creation, modification and removal of content from a website without needing to know anything about HTML.

The CDA component provides the back-end services that support management and delivery of the content once it has been created in the CMA.

CMS makes easy to handle your website. With CMA which is a GUI, makes easy to handle for any user that doesn’t know about HTML or PHP.

To make your website easy to handle and easy to upgrade, you have to use a CMS. If you create full customized website, it will surely give many features but CMS can provide the same.

Even CMS will provide easy and in-built basic functions, which are very common to be used in websites. There are many CMSes which provide many in-built functionality which can make developing a website, such easy task that almost anyone with basic php knowledge can create website, just using basic tutorials about that CMS application.

Take WordPress for a example. WordPress is very common to be used for blog. WordPress provide easy back-end access to upload new post.
