Recognize Which Song you are hearing with Mobile Apps and Website

Did it ever occur to you that, suddenly you hear a song playing on Television or somewhere else may be on phone or speaker, and you like song that much that you want that song for yourself, too.

But to do so you need the name of the song to search with. But as that song is unknown to you, you try to search with whatever lyrics you heard.

Now, forget that technique, you can recognize any playing song. Just let your smartphone do the work for you.

Let it hear the song and it will tell you that which song is that. You don’t even need lyrics to do so, just music also can do the trick.

Song Recognizing Virtual Assistants

You can click on that resulted song which is shown by Siri and check it out in Apple Music, and play it if you have subscribed Apple music stream services. If you’re not an Apple Music subscriber, you will get the option to purchase the song, or listen to a sample.

This feature is also available on Windows PCs, so you don’t need to install song recognition apps on your Windows devices.

This Feature is only available in Windows version of Cortana application, neither in Android version nor in iOS version.

Matter of fact is Siri uses database of Shazam to recognize Songs, too. With Shazam not only you can find song playing around you easily but you can get lyrics to sing along too.

If you don’t want to any virtual assistant applications mentioned above, then this could be your ideal choice. And Cherry on Cake is that Shazam app also remember recognized songs and it can work offline too.

2. SoundHound

SoundHound is another great application when it comes to music or song recognition. One Best Feature of SoundHound which apart it from other all application and make it best is, you can even hum the tune to find song.

The app works very well, even if you’re only humming a part of the song you want to recognize. This is extremely helpful, when you don’t remember the lyrics for the song, and it’s just a song you remember the tune to.

So if you remember tune of a song anytime, just hum it with SoundHound and it will give you that song.

SoundHound is as fast as Shazam is, when it comes to identifying songs, and is an awesome music recognition app.

This can come in especially handy if you have a tune stuck in your head, but you can’t place a name to it. Simply launch the Midomi website, and hum the tune; the website will recognize the music, and name that song.

The website also works if you use it when the song is actually playing around you, so you don’t necessarily have to hum or whistle the tune. Midomi takes its sweet time to recognize music, but it does work.

Conclusion

You can identify song or tune while playing with any of these applications or given website. You can even identify any song by just Humming or whistling tune with SoundHound application and Midomi Website.

If you use Virtual Assistants like Siri, Google Now and Cortana then you won’t need to install third party, extra application to recognize song.

Google Application is also sufficient to full fill your requirement but only points with these is that those are not able to identify songs with humming or whistling tune like SoundHound and Midomi Website and neither they are able to identify it when you are offline like Shazam.
