Oppo F5: Finally a found a change, but yet to see originality

Oppo has finally changed their smartphone look with the new arrival of Oppo F5. Oppo is widely known for their selfie-centric phones. They did not give a buzz about the processor, display or design. They always sell their smartphones solely based on Camera, especially Selfie Camera.

But Oppo finally bring a change with their newest member of F family. The Oppo F5 is a bit different in design than other. As you know you can call other Oppo smartphone, a copy of iPhone, this exception is a copy of its fellow smartphone company Vivo’s Vivo V7, if not the exact.

They try to give the exact same look, but just reduced one Camera from the first making it single from Dual , yes they made corners of display rounded and a bit curvy edges. Those are the changes they applied on design of Vivo V7. Well Appreciate what they did. Let’s just stop whipping Oppo, and get started with Oppo F5.

Ushering in the Oppo F5’s perfectionist streak is a 0.4mm hairline laser string carved using vacuum radium technology. Located at the tip of the device, this finespun linear finish is one intricate detail that sets it apart in the design stakes.

Selfie with Artificial Intelligence

This is the part in which Oppo is an Expert (Selfie Expert), they have upgraded this part too. The Oppo F5 will take camera phones to the next generation. It defies the paradox of marrying Artifical Intelligence technology with Organic beauty to create most natural and Stunning Selfies. That’s why they kept the tag line for the Oppo F5 – Capture the Real you.

Facial Unlock

There is another use of Selfie camera, which is to unlock your smartphone with your face. You can unlock your phone by just holding it up as if to say a hi to your phone. It serves as a convenient and an accurate alternative to unlocking it with your fingerprint. Watch your phone come to life by using simple gestures, such as a tap, a firm shake, a gentle swipe, or a handy pinch.

Rear Camera of 16 MP

Flip to the back and the f/1.8 aperture in the rear camera also performs brilliantly for brighter and clearer shots in darker settings. Let the OPPO F5 be your go-to camera for clear, natural and vivid pictures no matter the hour.

Immersive Viewing Experience

Be it watching a movie, playing a game or browsing through your pictures, the details are incredibly defined on the 15.24-cm, FHD+ screen. The phone fits aesthetically within a narrow frame, making it easy to carry around. The screen features 2160×1080 pixels for a visually immersive experience.

The Oppo F5’s curved exterior adheres to a streamlined design philosophy. Hones from countless design calibrations to arrive at its signature graceful look and feel, it embodies elegance in its entirety – regardless of which angle you are viewing from, or how light it feels to your touch.

The Oppo F5 touch screen is limitless in the purest form, unadulterated by borders or buttons.

Performance and Software

You can seamlessly switch between multiple apps, scale the latest gaming league tables or watch your favorite TV shows as it is powered by an octa-core processor, along with 6 GB of RAM. Based on 64 common user scenarios, F5 also accelerates application starting, improving its average speed by 23.9%. You can store loads of movies, apps, games, music and much more as it has an internal memory of 64 GB.

Oppo is giving their Own version of Xender and ShareIt, which can be used to transfer files between Oppo Devices, of course you can not do it with other, so you won’t be using it. Lets just say that they are still unaware of the market or they don’t want to see that.

They are saying the same things that those file transfer software does, Transfer your file without Internet or Bluetooth with very fast speed almost 100 times of Bluetooth speed. Which is a no new wonder considering they use Wi-Fi hotspot technology to do so.

They are giving Split screen feature, you won’t be wondered unless you are a quite die hard fan of Oppo smartphones, because this is a feature of Android Nougat OS itself, but they just want credit for that too, so they implemented it by providing shortcut with tagging their name.

Final Wording:

All I can say about Oppo F5 is that it is a good phone, doesn’t matter it’s design is copied or anything else, all you know is that you get a good smartphone at low price with high specifications.

But for me I am pretty disappointed with Oppo, it seems like they are out of ideas. They do not bring anything original of them, especially in Design, they either Copy Apple’s iPhones or some other phones like Samsung and Vivo.

I hope next time they do come with their own ideas in design, until than you can do with this Oppo F5, at the end of the day it is a fair smartphone.
