How to print From Smartphone to Local Network Printer?

Many of us, get some work related Files on WhatsApp or any mobile social media network, Which is important to print. But to do so we need to transfer file to our Computer first and then print from Computer.

Now, It’s not like that. You can command your computer to print any file from anywhere using your Google Account with Google Chrome.

It means you can print from any Local Network Printer or Any Printer Connected to your computer using your android Smartphone.

To make it happen, all you need is Google Chrome on your Computer, Google Account and Internet Connection on Mobile and Computer Both. Which is very common to have.

You have to add your printer in your Google Account first. Yes, you can install Local Printer there, too.You can add even old Dot Matrix printer.




Let’s see how to do that first.

How to Setup local printer in Google Cloud print?

You can add your local printer in Google Cloud print using Google Chrome. To do so just follow following Steps.

  • Open Google Chrome -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Google Cloud Print and Click Manage button
  • Or you can just type chrome://devices/ in Chrome Address Bar
  • Devices settings will open. There you can find Classic Printers
  • Under Classic Printers click on Add printer button.

  • You will be sent to Google Cloud Print, Printer register page.
  • Select printer in which you want to print from your smartphone.

  • By enabling Automatically register new printers I connect, all printer you add afterward in your computer will be automatically registered on Google Cloud print.
  • Press “Add Printer(s)” button and there you will be done.
  • You can check your cloud printers here: Google Cloud Print

This is how you can share any local printer on Google Cloud Print.




Now, what if you want to share this printer with other peoples.

How to Share Google Cloud Printer with Other?

If there is more users who want to print by same printer, it is completely unnecessary to Follow procedure mentioned above for all of that. That will only create confusion.

  • Open Google Cloud Print from first account in which you installed your printer
  • Select Printer you want to share with other and Click on Share Button.

  • You can add person’s Email ID in invite box and select Permission you want to provide.

  • Invited Person will receive Email about your invitation and if he accept it he will be able to print from that too.

  • Which also provide you access to take back access from invitee by removing from printer’s share settings.

So, this is how you can add Local printer as Google Cloud printer. In which you can print from anywhere via internet.

Now, this is done setting up cloud print, in which you can print from anywhere using internet but how to do that on Smartphone.

How to Print from Android Smartphone?

To do so, you have to add your local printer as Google cloud printer. After that, follow following steps.

  • Download Google Cloud Print Plugin From Play Store

  • Open Settings -> Printing -> Cloud Print
  • Turn Cloud Print On

  • Open File to Print, select Print option
  • Select printer from which you want to print and there you go.
  • If you don’t get your added printer there, check all printer list and let it load it will show you eventually.
