5 Handy Features provided with Google Keyboard.

As Android market is growing worldwide, Google is developing new features eagerly. So does with Google Keyboard. Google Keyboard (G-Board) is not only for providing correct spellings from big dictionary but it is also providing some handy features.

Google provided G-board update laced with 5 handy features which make use of keyboard way more easy. Let’s have a look at those features.

What are new Features in Google Keyboard (G-Board)?

1. Google Search inside

With Google Search connected with Google keyboard, It will make many things pretty easy. With this feature, Google allows us to share any search results with everyone on almost every messaging applications like WhatsApp, Gmail, Hike, Hangouts, Facebook Messanger, etc.

Main function of this feature is that, it allows you to use Google search on any page that allows keyboard to pop up.




To use this feature all you need to do is just tap on “G” button from top – left corner of your Google Keyboard. Then whatever you will type will be searched on Google.

Share Searched links & Images

You can share links with this feature which get appeared in search results. Although, you will be able to share only top resulted link (first one on search result) of search.
With This you can also share pictures from Google Search result by using “pictures” keyword with it. Search will provide you few pictures. (Around 5-6 pictures)

Share Address / Location

You can share address or locations with your contacts using Google keyboard, just search location you want to send them and you will find that location.

Share Weather Reports

You can share whether with your contacts using this Google search feature of Google Keyboard. Just use keyword “Weather” with location.

Share Word’s Meaning

You can share word’s meanings using this Google search feature with your contacts, too. All those words, of which definition or meaning is provided by Google Search, you can share it with contacts. You can share translation of any word in other languages, too.

2. Search Emoji

This feature allows you to search Emoji from keyboard. Before this, to select any emoji, keyboard requires to search manually by scrolling in emoji section.




But now its way much easier. Just Go in Emoji panel, there is search bar over the Emoji panel to search emoji. Just Type word which describe that emoji or emotion and you will find all related emoji.

3. GIF Search

This GIF thing was such a drag before this feature. Because to share GIF with your contacts, It required to search GIF from browser, then download that and then upload it as media. But now, it is way more easy with like everything else.

Just Go in Emoji Panel, at bottom of keyboard you will find GIF Option.click on that. You will be able to see few GIF Types like High Five, Clapping and Thumbs Up. You can Search GIF of your liking in that GIF search panel. Then Just tap that GIF.

 

4. Improved Gesture Typing

Gesture typing AKA Glide Typing is improved in core areas like speed and accuracy. Also, the animations are much smoother and intuitive. If you don’t see this feature working, then enable it by going into Keyboard Settings-> Glide Typing and tap on the Enable glide typing option.

 

5. Easy Access of Keyboard Settings

Until, the update of Google keyboard, to open Keyboard settings, we had long process to perform. By Opening Settings -> Language & Input -> Gboard but now its just two tap away.
Tap on “G” Button, and tap again on Setting icon. There you will find full setting panel of Gboard same as from setting. That’s really shortcut, isn’t it?
